Still waiting...

Still waiting for a storm around here. Although there has been strong troughs off of the west coast and decent cold fronts moving through the Red Deer area, were still lacking good instability and moisture to initiate a decent storm. I would love to see a week long rain happen soon, since the province has been extremely dry. June begins tomorrow, so hopefully we'll see a storm or some pouring rain soon. Fallon and I are talking about heading east to Saskatchewan for 2 weeks in July to chase storms and see some family. The past couple of years they have seen some incredible storms compared to the cold, outflow dominate storms we've seen here. It's obviously too early to predict where to go, so a decision will be most likely made a few days before our holidays start. Posted below are just a few recent photos I took, nothing special.
A Robin keeping a close eye on me as I moved in to take a quick shot of it perched in a tree.
Some of Fallon's African Daisies from a flower box on our deck railing.
Two of the same shots. One directly out of the camera and one HDR photo consisting of 3 bracketed exposures combined. I went west of the city last night with hopes of seeing a decent sunset since there was a good amount of clouds in the sky, but right as the sun was about to set, the clouds cleared out. I would love to see some lightning soon.
