Elbow Falls, Forgetmenot Ridge and the Powderface Trail.

We decided to get out of the house on Sunday and have some fun down in Kananaskis country in the Elbow Falls area, southwest of Bragg Creek. I originally wanted to go to the Crescent Falls area west of Nordegg, but the thought of Cougars and Grizzlies made me change my mind. We first checked out Elbow Falls, and there was alot of people where I wanted to take photos, and plus the Sun there and all day was making lighting difficult. We then went further west on Highway 66 towards the Little Elbow campground and took some photos of Forgetmenot Ridge and Forgetmenot Pond. We then decided to cruise up the Powderface Trail and stopped a few kilometers up and did a bit of 'exploring' if you want to call it that and found this frozen stream down this huge canyon/ridge and took some photos. On our way back, we stopped at Elbow Falls hoping that it wouldn't be as busy and it wasn't! There was another photographer set up and I kindly asked him if I could get in and take my shots, which he did. Also, the lighting was perfect since the sun started to go down behind the trees. Since I work alot, its nice to get out and take photos and enjoy Alberta on my days off instead of sitting around the house, and its even better that I get to enjoy it with Fallon and Eddie.

Note: If I would have put the camera information next to every photo like I've done with every other one on here, it would take me forever. All the Elbow Falls pictures were shot with aperture's of F-11 to F-20 with shutter speeds of 0.6 to 2 seconds. A 77mm polarizing filter was used on every photo. I changed the color space from sRGB to adobeRGB in RAW processing on every photo also. It makes for a more pleasing photo to look at in my opinion. I gave 2 photos of the falls more color saturation in RAW processing to bring out more color in the water.
